  • star rating  Very convenient for Offa’s Dyke Path. Comfortable accommodation with lovely food. - My wife and I stayed here for a night while walking Offa’s Dyke Path, the accommodation being ideal as the Path goes past the gate. We were given a warm... read more welcome by the hosts, Adrian and Viv. On our arrival soaking wet, Adrian provided somewhere to hang our wet clothes until they were dry enough to bring indoors and newspaper to stuff our boots with – clearly prepared for wet walkers! We had a clean, comfortable room with good sized bathroom (with bath and separate shower). The room had a lovely outlook with a patio area for sitting out (but unfortunately the weather was not conducive to using this!). A lovely two course evening meal was provided and an excellent cooked breakfast.

star rating  An excellent B&B with a range of services; optional pick up service, dinner and packed lunches - very welcoming hosts! - We stayed here for 2 nights on our Offa's Dyke trek, not least as Adrian offers a pick up service (for an extra fee) from a range of points along... read more the walk. On our second day, we walked to the Lodge from our drop off about 12 miles north. The pick up worked very efficiently and the B&B is excellent - superbly located for the Dyke with a great view of one of the many hills you'll walk over from the garden (and our room!) We had evening meals here as well - which were excellent and a great breakfast too. The bonus of having a much lighter pack for a day (as we could leave a lot of stuff in our room) was the icing on the cake!

We would definitely stay there again.
